2016 Bring It On! or Jumpin January

Bringing in the new year with a sparkle !

The sparklers here are humungous.... I would say about 3 feet long and thicker.  If I could figure a way to get these puppies home, my grandkids would love them.  Long enough to keep the sparks off little hands and long enough to last a while.

Sister Peg Stevens and Sister Kathy Tobler and me.

Heading out to the north of the city to make a medical visit with Dr. and Sister Stevens.
Ciudad Satélite, frequently called just Satélite, is a Greater Mexico City middle-class suburban area located in Naucalpan,State of Mexico. Officially the name corresponds only to the neighbourhood of the same name, Ciudad Satélite, founded circa 1957. Over the last few decades it has expanded and it is now rather segmented socially and economically, distributed in a number of different neighbourhoods, although it has remained a predominantly middle to upper middle class area.... or big cement sticks poking up

In the church building we were doing the medical visit in, someone had the forsight to build in small accomodations for the nursery (I presume that is why they are so small), either that or this ward is a midget ward.

On the way back into the city, we stopped at the outlet mall to get a bite to eat.... I was really contemplating that burger with the special bun...... not! but you do see the darndest things on the menus.  They must have a skewed sense of the american diet.

A stop in at the CCM to see the Packards.... Shout out to Erin Packard Householder in Thatcher.... this is her parents.  Awesome people serving here at the Mexico City CCM

Whenever we go to the CCM, we try to stalk any local or Arizona kids there.  There was one who happened to be and not be there.  He was at the Mexico City Temple instead of at the CCM when we were.  Shout out to his mom Rachel Allred, he probably was having a better time at the temple than to be stalked by crazy people with a camera.

People think I am nuerotic about keeping my camera out and taking so many pictures..... YOU HAVE TO here.  You NEVER know when you might have a truck loaded so heavily with bones and other stuff.

RIDING ON THE AXLE I WOULD SAY.  You just can't make this stuff up.  Looks fairly fresh though.

Popo and Ixta peeking out today....

I am thinking that there wouldn't be good.... that cathedral behind is too tall

Massive crowds and groups were making their way to the cathedral.... getting ready for the Pope to come the next week.

Stopped at the JW Marriott to get lunch... John just loves the top
hats the bell men wear there.  Didn't quite fit but it was fun.
